"Can you Keep the Rhythm"

For the second consecutive year, AMB Designs is the apparel partner of choice for the “Can you Keep the Rhythm” contest, featuring Knicks City Dancers’ choreographies taught to dance studios in New York and neighboring areas.  The winning team gets an AMB Designs gift and the opportunity to perform at half-time during a New York Knicks home game at The Madison Square Gardens.  The contest, operated by US Tournament of Dance had huge response last year, and even better this year, with excitement bubbling over with hundreds of competitors.

Two new print designs

AMB Designs announces huge success with its two new print designs, including the Animal Print – Leopards series (Style 2320), and the Paisley Collection (Styles 2316 and 2358) – in long sleeve and camisole versions for the spring.   The excitement is visible, as these pieces are being snatched off the shelves of retailers and convention vendors all over the country.  Some retailers have even called AMB Designs to give thanks for “saving their season” with these designs.  AMB Designs’ continuing flow of products is giving retailers, and dancers something to talk about, confirming the company’s “Colors in Action” tagline.

US Tournament of Dance

AMB Designs announces its partnership with the Miss Dance – a nationwide dance contest produced and operated by the US Tournament of Dance.  As part of this initiative, specific AMB Designs products have been designated as official styles of the Miss Dance collection.  This initiative reinforces AMB Designs’ growing niche position as a dance and activewear apparel designer and supplier in the top leagues of their industry.

Wal-Mart effect

AMB Designs announces growth and rekindled momentum, even in the midst of the national recession. AMB Designs believes they are benefitting from the “Wal-Mart effect”, in which attractive products at low price points can actually grow during downturns. AMB Designs’ National Sales Manager, Dani Eisenman says: “We believe that our highly visual, entirely wearable styles make a good spur-of-the-moment purchase at a price point that avoids the guilt of a discretionary spend. Further, studios and teachers are considering AMB Designs styles as a primary costuming alternative, in order to reduce the impact of costumes on dancer households.”
