Wal-Mart effect
AMB Designs announces growth and rekindled momentum, even in the midst of the national recession. AMB Designs believes they are benefitting from the “Wal-Mart effect”, in which attractive products at low price points can actually grow during downturns. AMB Designs’ National Sales Manager, Dani Eisenman says: “We believe that our highly visual, entirely wearable styles make a good spur-of-the-moment purchase at a price point that avoids the guilt of a discretionary spend. Further, studios and teachers are considering AMB Designs styles as a primary costuming alternative, in order to reduce the impact of costumes on dancer households.”
